INNOVATION // NEW CONCEPTS

These design concepts are innovations as they have been applied successfully on the market. Some fashion designers experiment with new
digital technologies to integrate electronic components into the garments, which we refer to as wearable technology. Others test new materials
that make the clothing durable and attractive, worn longer and thereby more sustainable.

KO!
Textile design concept connected to technology

Description:

KO! is a young brand, developing dynamical story-telling interior accessories. The objects designed by KO! are all changing in time, offering a personalized experience. Collections of interactive cushions, and bedding changing in light can be found from the product selection, which combine traditional textile making techniques with innovative technologies and witty inventions.

The "imaginarium" of KO! is compiled of patterns and surfaces that are collected from nature and modified by the designer, Kärt Ojavee. The patterns are lush, yet charmingly simple, emerging as plant structures, gometrically shaped figures, melting cosmic surfaces or any other motif in the air.

KO! creation - the prints, shapes, electronics, seams and magic - is designed, produced and fabricated in Estonia in collaboration with engineers and geeks who have teamed up with KO!.

Uniqueness:

Novel products using novel technologies, for example the "pillowhugger"

Result:

As the designer of KO!, Kärt Ojavee, is very well known in the world. KO! is the first company of its kind in Estonia.
